RETAIL ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATE II
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs.
Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs.
Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects / architectural staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding and application of brand standards and details for the production of full Design Development Standards focused on Retail and Mercantile building types.
Analysis / evaluation of potential retail tenant spaces.
Preparation of store layout options and participation in brand design reviews.
Assembly of schematic level presentation packages. Use of SketchUp modeling software could be expected.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work under indirect supervision.
Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.
Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills.
Technically creative and open-minded.
Retail and Mercantile experience preferred.
Manage to strict deadlines on multiple ongoing projects.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Degree in Architecture.
6-10 years of architectural experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit is required.
Working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office suite is preferred.

SALARY RANGE:
$57,500 - $72,000 / year
